Children will be instructed in pencil initially, studying different ways to make lines, proportions and shading. They will also be taught how to use pastels, water colour, acrylic paint, printmaking and sculpture.
Subjects will range from cartoons, figures, still life and nature.

These fun and engaging art workshops are designed to spark creativity while building strong foundational skills. Over the course of four weeks, students will complete 2–3 projects based on their interests, exploring new materials and techniques while developing confidence in their artistic voice.
Led by artist and educator Dani Franke, the classes focus on both imagination and technical skill, with plenty of room for personal expression. Students will experiment with a variety of media and styles in a supportive, age-appropriate environment.
Important Notes for Parents:
Please have your child wear clothes they can get messy in - art can get a little wild!
Parents must provide a pair of plain canvas shoes (any size). These will be used as part of a special art project. Affordable options can usually be found at Ardene, Walmart, or Payless, typically in the $15–$20 range.
