The Leduc Arts Foundry is thrilled to offer two full-day sculpting workshops with renowned Albertan sculptor Ryan Kurylo. Each workshop is designed for all skill levels, so whether you’ve never touched clay before or you’ve been creating for years, these workshops will lead you on a journey towards artistic self-discovery, and may reveal a hidden talent for sculpting.
Sculpting in Relief
Discover the joy of sculpting in relief in this hands-on workshop with natural pottery clay. Guided by your passionate instructor, you will explore the nuances of the relief sculpting. Through step- by-step demonstrations, participants will experience basic sculpting techniques, emphasizing the creation of lively and evocative sculptures.
Using their own photos or images, participants will create a unique and original 12 x 12 inch “tile” relief sculpture with specialized pottery clay.
This workshop is designed for all skill levels, fostering a supportive and creative environment where each artist can infuse their unique emotions into the clay, resulting in a truly expressive and personalized sculpture.
