Cartooning Camp with Gerry Rasmussen

July 29 - August 2, 12:00pm-2:00pm

Ages 7-18, $280

In this fun cartooning camp, Gerry will help you create your own characters, and then show you how to put those characters into their own worlds. We’ll use drawing to come up with ideas for your own comics, picture books, animation... anything you can imagine! And you don’t need to know anything about drawing to get started!

Cartooning Arts Educator

Gerry Rasmussen is a renowned cartoonist and arts educator hailing from the Edmonton area. He is best known for his daily comic strip, “Betty,” which has earned him recognition in the world of comics and illustration. Rasmussen’s artistic talents extend beyond the comic strip, as he has illustrated several books, including a noteworthy autobiography by the former hockey player and advertising magnate, Terry O’Malley, as well as “Crazy About Soccer” with author Loris Lesynski. With his creative prowess and dedication to the art of cartooning, Gerry Rasmussen has made a significant impact on the world of visual storytelling, both as an artist and an educator.
