Rug Hooking Basics

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of rug hooking while working on a project of your choice. Perfect for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills!
Class Details:
- Dates: Tuesdays – October 14, 21, 28, and November 4, 2025
- Time: 6:30 – 8:30 PM
- Location: Leduc Arts Foundry – Downtown
- Ages: 12 and up (Adults welcome!)
- Fee: $200 (tools and kits not included)
What to Bring:
Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies if possible:
- 12–14" non-slip hoop
- #5 or #6 Hartman-style hook
- Small, sharp scissors
- Notebook and pen/pencil

A limited number of hoops and hooks will be available to rent for a $25 refundable deposit.
Starter Kits:
A variety of beginner kits ($50–$55) will be available for purchase directly from the instructor on the first day of class. Kits are refreshed regularly, so students will have the opportunity to view and choose in person.
