Indigenous Multi-Artist Exhibit
The Leduc Arts Foundry is honored to display the art of seven Indigenous artists, each sharing unique perspectives, histories, and connections through their art. Their works tell stories of love, kinship, pain, grief, community, cultural revitalization, and connection to the land and all its inhabitants. Organized by Jessica Desmoulin, this collection will be open for public viewing from June 15- July 30, 2026 at the Leduc Arts Foundry (LRC location).
The exhibition features a diverse collection of works, including:
Intricate floral beadwork
Bold, colourful paintings
Intricate traditional birch bark biting art
A variety of Inuit mixed-media arts
Modern digital art
Artists displaying their beautiful works include Brenda Powder, Jennifer Tokohopie, Austin Alook, Dustin Morin, Ryan Willert, Jessica Desmoulin, and Jana Kadlugak Angulalik.
Jessica Desmoulin, an Ojibway artist of the Pic River First Nation, creates artwork influenced by the Eastern Woodland style and artists such as Norval Morrisseau and Alex Janvier. Her flowing, vibrant imagery explores the relationships between people, the land, animals, plants, and the spirit world. Jessica's work has been exhibited at Bearclaw Gallery, acquired by the University of Alberta, and featured in books, magazines, Travel Alberta publications, hospitals, and youth programs.
