Hello! I’m Sarah or under my art pr Hello! I’m Sarah or under my art prefer “funkamush” I do like a bit of anonymity:) I’m 34 years old, a wife & mother to an amazing 4 year old boy, and local small business (restaurant) owner with my husband. I’ve always dabbled in the arts growing up but it never truly came to fruition until the pandemic hit and the stay at home orders made us all a little more creative in our down time. I paint on whatever mediums inspire me, mostly canvas and vinyl records, but have painted jackets , shoes, mirrors… really anything that comes to mind. I’m inspired by darker occult topics and life and death. A running theme through my art is mushrooms as “fungi are the interface organisms between life and death” as the great Paul Stamets would say. I like cheeky dark humour, and it also plays through some of my art. I love art that makes you think or perhaps create an emotional response... good or bad. See more

Unstrung Jewelry Company was founde Unstrung Jewelry Company was founded in 2017. Music has been a big part of my life and my passion. Born and raised in a musical family - Dad played guitar, Grandmother played the organ, Grandfather played the fiddle, while I sang and played tambourine. In 2016 my Dad passed away suddenly and unexpected and my fondest memories were of my Dad playing guitar at home and at jam sessions. A week before my Dad's first anniversary of his passing, I noticed the strings on his acoustic guitar, they were old and needed changing, but didn't have the heart to throw them away, so I decided I could create something memorable with the metal strings. 3 bracelets, 2 pairs of earrings came out of those strings, which I made for my Mom and my daughter's in his memory. I had mentioned to a few family and friends of my idea, and had 2 custom orders before my company even launched on Facebook. In 2019 I received a custom order for a bracelet that was to be worn on a presenter at the 2019 Juno awards. I knew I was on the right path. When I am not creating jewelry, I work casually for Rad Torque Raceway as a cashier/security. See more

Hello, I'm Tiffany. I'm a south Edm Hello, I'm Tiffany. I'm a south Edmonton photographer specializing in pets, children's portraits and nature/abstract art. Photography is my creative outlet as well as my calm. I will gladly spend hours sitting in the garden or my studio with my camera to recharge. Mountains, waves, waterfalls and wildlife are all amazing but my favourite lens to use is my macro. Abstracts (like smoke curls), oddities (random objects around the house) or florals are always on the top of my macro list. I love photography because you are freezing a moment in time; in such a fast paced society there's a lot in this amazing world that we often miss. I love the idea of capturing those moments, those things, that people don't see or don't get to enjoy often enough. My wall art allows people to enjoy those moments year round and my art-on-the-go allows them to take it with them, where ever they are. I love that feeling, to share the world as I see it. See more

I'm a self taught artist from Edmon I'm a self taught artist from Edmonton, who for many years of my life didn’t feel I could paint or draw. I thought it was just weird that I saw colors and images differently than others. I dipped my feet in the painting pool (so to speak), caught a couple of Bob Ross episodes on TV, decided what the heck, and painted a few pictures using his style and technique. My love of painting began even though some of my trees weren’t happy accidents. I didn't really paint a lot until I retired 7 years ago when I started painting more often, though acrylics are my first love I did add watercolors to my paint collection and find that I enjoy painting with them almost as much as acrylics. . Now I paint nearly every day, originally I was only comfortable doing landscapes, but have since spread my wings and started painting flowers, birds, and I have found a love of painting animals (wild and domestic) and now thinking of multi media as another artistic adventure to try. An education in visual communications led her into a career in graphic design and the printing industry, but her heart has always been with oil paint. In 2019 Anne became serious about her work, striving to learn by doing, as encouraged by her grandfather from a young age. Living in Alberta, the majority of Anne’s art takes inspiration from the Rocky Mountains. She uses her personal connection to the landscape to ground her paintings, actively seeking out opportunities to explore natural settings and experience wild and remote places. Her paintings are a commitment to share not only landscapes she has personally experienced, but also those that are dear to her viewers. Her hope is to bring a feeling of peace and awe for the vastness of the wilderness with the richness and texture of oil paint and palette knife. Her work is centered around capturing the beauty she sees in nature, and she works in small to medium sizes to bring the beauty of the mountains to her viewer. Emerging oil painting artist, Tara Emerging oil painting artist, Tara Kapoor, was born in 2001 in Edmonton, Alberta where she continues her practice. Since 2014, she has been refining her painting skills, displaying artwork in local venues, and selling her work. In 2019, she received an International Baccalaureate certificate in Visual Fine Arts. Combining hard science with the fluidity of art was inspired by her education in kinesiology and life sciences. This allowed her to express what she learns in the lecture hall and fuse it with nature to create juxtaposed pieces that unify a currently divided humanity, in its most stripped form. Tara Kapoor's passionate work exposes the undeniable relationship we all face with life, death and beauty. See more

I am an Edmonton-based artist who p I am an Edmonton-based artist who primarily works in watercolour, but I dabble in many mediums. I am self-taught and was introduced to watercolours by my grandma and it didn't take long for me to fall in love with the art form. My favourite aspect of watercolour is the unpredictable nature of water that makes it impossible to duplicate. I'm inspired by the beautiful world around me, specifically nature and animals. My work features a large variety of animals, many of whom reside in Canada. I love to drastically change the colours of the animals I paint to create unique versions that draw the eye of the viewer. When I'm not doing art, you can catch me reading fantasy novels or playing guitar in my punk band Livin' Fil See more

As an artist rooted in Treaty 6 Ter As an artist rooted in Treaty 6 Territory, now known as Edmonton, Alberta, I draw my inspiration from the natural world, the complexities of emotion, and the beauty of femininity. Art has always been a constant thread in my life, stretching back to my childhood, but it wasn't until the pandemic that I truly rediscovered my passion. During that time, I felt a deep calling to create calling to bring color, light, and positive energy into a world that needed it more than ever. My work is an expression of softness, vulnerability, and resilience. I primarily work with watercolors, though I also explore acrylics, and mixed media. Through my art, I explore difficult emotions, spirituality, and the empowerment found in embracing one's true self. A recent focus has been on body positivity and celebrating the beauty of women” reminding myself and others that softness, vulnerability, and strength can coexist in harmony. My art is a reflection of my journey, and it is my hope that it brings a sense of peace, positivity, and connection to anyone who engages with it. When I'm not painting, I love to read, dance, and connect with my husband, friends and family. I also love spending time with my dog! See more
